Before everyone heads off on their summer break, I wanted to drop you all a line.
Season 2024 / 25 was again a successful one for Beechwood FC with our U13 Saturday Div 4 and U 12 Sunday Div 11 on winning their leagues.
As I said in my previous updates, the club will remain an open book as to its operating model and financials so if anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact me directly.
So where do we stand at the end of this season and our budget for next season.

As a club of almost 900 kids and set to grow further for the season 2025/26, we do need to continue to improve our financial position if we are to provide the pitches for training twice weekly, match jerseys and dedicated coaching. As an Executive Committee, we are absolutely focused on maximising the player experience through coaching, pitch space and gear and this is the model we want to retain.
As you know we did increase subscriptions last Summer and thankfully we will not be changing the subscriptions for the 2025/26 season.
The Club remains in a good position with cash of €43,000 at end of the season, while this may look like a healthy balance, we do have significant contracted costs such as pitches €140,000 and coaches’ fees of €70,000, to mention just a few, each season.

On the coaching front, each squad gets a minimum of one coaching session every week and for those squads that want a full-time coach the Club will endeavour to provide one, but the extra cost will be borne by the parents of that particular team. To further improve the coaching experience for all teams our Director of Football, Connor Burke, is rolling out an online coaching manual to all team coaches. This online platform is being used by professional teams all over the world and Beechwood will have its own landing page providing dedicated and focused training sessions for teams of all abilities. This is a significant investment by the club from a financial and time perspective so I would ask all team coaches and managers to fully engage with this initiative – feel free to check it out at www.thecoachingmanual.com.
Sponsorship plays a crucial part of the income of the club. One of our long-standing sponsors, Nobó & Nomadic, have completed their multi-year sponsorship of the academy this year and I would like to thank them sincerely for their support. The good news is that Sherry Fitzgerald have agreed to be next season’s academy sponsors.
So next season our primary club sponsors will be Sherry Fitzgerald, Eversheds, Rathmines Sports, Applegreen, PWC and MAS+ along with squad sponsors Lantech, Line Up Sports, DSG, Catalyst, O’Dwyer Property Management, Lennan’s Yard, Barina, Automate Technology, Clearwater, Rogerson Reddan & Associates and Rathgar Pharmacy. Sponsorship is a key revenue driver for the club so If you would like to sponsor individual teams or become a primary Club sponsor, please contact me directly as we have multiple options available. We will be talking to all sponsors to see where we can add value to their brand through our new landing page on the website and our social media channels.

As we reflect on the past year, we pause to remember and honour a valued member of our club who sadly passed away in April 2025, Greg Fry. Greg was a cherished part of our Club and contributed greatly to our club's activities over the years. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his wife Sharon and his sons Finley, Zack and Casey. May Greg rest in peace.

Weekend 30th & 31st Aug All Boys & Girls U16-18
Weekend 6th & 7th September All Boys & Girls U12 – U15
Weekend 13th & 14th September All Boys and Girls SSG teams.
